PTA Meetings

FORMATION OF PTA:

The Parents teachers association was officially formed in the month of March 2016.the aim of the association was to improve the academic performance of the students. The students with weak performance were asked to call for their parents, their performance was discussed with them and action was taken to improve their academic performance. A circular will be sent to the faculty member requesting them to attend the PTA meeting in the seminar hall to review the academic progress of the students. An invitation letter will be sent to the parents/guardian requesting them to make use of the meeting for the benefit of their ward.


PARENTS TEACHERS ASSOCIATION:

The parents teachers association meeting committee setup consists of a faculty selected from each department. Each academic year, for both August and February batch students three internal assessment exams are conducted before they appear for the university practical and theory assessment. This association is responsible for the communication between the faculty, parents and their wards.

ANNUALLY THE PTA HELD ARE USUALLY HELD AT THE FOLLOWING PERIOD:

PTA meeting is usually held after the second internal assessment and the students are classified according to their internal evaluation score and attendance conduct

The PTA meeting for the august batch is usually held in the month of May and for the February batch students in the month of November.

Every year PTA meetings are held in the order of first week for the final year students and the second week of the month for the third-year students and the third week of the month for the second-year students and the last week for the first-year students.

Due to the covid pandemic the Parents teachers association was delayed.


PROCEDURE AFTER THE INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS:

Once the internal examination and paper evaluation are done the students are given a period of one week for the discussion of the answer paper

After the discussions are over the respective coordinator for the batches collect the mark list and the names of the students who score low marks are suggested and the list is handed over to the parent-teachers association.


PARENT-TEACHER MEETING:

The part of the PTA is to send particular letters to the parents regarding their wards which are done one week prior to the meeting. Information letters consist of the internal assessment score and they are cumulative attendance percentages.

The parents along with their wards are free to meet various faculties from all the departments and can discuss their academics. practically accompanied by any objections and suggestions are always considered by the faculty.


STUDENT CONSIDERATION:

These students are given extra care by providing them with extra coaching sessions like VIVA, practical and theory exams, interactive sessions, along with advisory sessions if required.

Model exams are conducted to make sure these students perform better in the upcoming university theory and practical exams


OUTCOME OF PTA:

The result of this PTA meeting has given each student various chances to understand the academics and overcome the difficulties so that the performance of those has significantly increased in the upcoming examination
